Abstract

The objective of this study to analyze the lifestyle of students as consumers of the decision to purchase hand sanitizer in preventing the spread of COVID-19. Hand sanitizer become priority needs for consumers in order to do their activities. These priority needs affect the consumer's lifestyle in evaluating and identifying product benefits based on their current opinion to preventing COVID-19. Population in this study was the students of Faculty of Economics, Sintuwu Maroso University in Poso. The sample in this study was 42 students as consumers of hand sanitizer. The data was analyzed by SPSS. The results showed that lifestyle based on Simultaneous Hypothesis Test Results with Linear Regression Test (F test) that activity; interest; and opinion (independent variables) are statistically significant on purchasing decisions for hand sanitizer. Partially that activity (X1) had no significant effect on purchasing decisions with a significance value of 0.894, interest (X2) significantly influence the purchase decision with a significance value of 0,000 and opinion (X3) significantly influence the purchase decision of a hand sanitizer product with a significance value of 0.012. It can be concluded that consumer appraisal based on lifestyle variables have a significant positive effect on purchasing decisions for hand sanitizer.
