The purpose of this research is to determine the factors that influence the participation of speaking English. This research is conducted at Sintuwu Maroso University Poso. The method uses in this research is qualitative. The subjects of the study are students of English class of 2017-2018 that consists of 36 students. Data are analyzed from questionnaires about factors of student participation, interviews to lecturers who teach speaking, students who attend the speaking class, and documentation of student grades. The results showed that the highest factor that influenced the students participation to speak English in speaking course are Basic Language Skills and Feedback During Activities factors.
