Abstract

The objective of the research is to find out the students’ ability in writing procedure text at SMK Negeri 1 Poso Pesisir.The type of the research is a descriptive qualitative method. The data are collected by test. The findings of the research obtained that The students' ability in writing procedure text at SMK Negeri 1 Poso Pesisir based on the average score of 54,71 or in the poor category. The score of students’ ability in writing procedure text for aspect content was 64,28 or in category of Poor, aspect organization was 52,85 or in category of Poor, aspect vocabulary was 57,85 or in category of Poor, aspect language usage was 52,14 or in category of Poor, aspect mechanic was 44,28 or in category of Poor. The five aspects of writing skills, namely content, organization, vocabulary, language usage, and mechanics were included in the Poor category.
