Abstract

The purpose of this study, is to determine student perceptions of on the implementation of online learning activities in language learning English at Sintuwu Maroso University. Methods used in research this is descriptive qualitative. The data from this study were collected through questionnaires, interviews and documentation. This research was given to 20 4th semester students. The results of this study show that the perception of students in online learning are divided into 2, namely the application of positive and negative side of online learning. Positive side of online learning is that students can access anywhere and anytime through a -based application web sites such as Neo, Google Meet and Zoom for discussions that are provided university during the pandemic, students become disciplined in attendance, work and collection of assignments given by the lecturer. Consequence from the negative side of online learning, the lack of interaction between lecturers and students students, feeling lazy with virtual learning, students are given many tasks and lack of facilities in online learning that make students have difficulty in implementing online learning.
