Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out correlation between students' learning motivation and English learning achievement. The type of research is quantitative research. The research subject are grade x students at SMAN 2 Poso in academic year 2019/2020. The sample of this study is 46 students. Data collection techniques in this research are questionnaire for the students' learning motivation and the English learning achievement refers to the students' English learning score. The data analyzed by used Pearson Product Moment in the program SPSS 16. Based on the research result obtained, there is no the correlation between students' learning motivation and English learning achievement. It shows from the r coefficient number 0.034, where in the interpretation correlation table, the r coefficient number include in the first category there is no correlation between the two variables which means that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) which states that there is significant correlation between students' learning motivation and English learning achievement is rejected.
