Abstract

The research aim is to determine the learning strategies uses by the English teacher at Modern Islamic School Gontor Poso. The subject in this research is English teacher at Modern Islamic School Gontor Poso. This research uses qualitative research method. The data in this research is collected through observation and interview. The results of the research show that English teacher at Gontor Poso Islamic Boarding School uses direct teaching strategies and mastery learning strategy.
