Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlation between students’ satisfaction and questioning strategies used by teachers of english in second grade at SMAN 1 Poso. This research was conducted at SMAN 1 Poso. The method used in this research is quantitative using an instument that is the questionnaire. The research subject were 33 students of Class 2 Science A. Data were analyzed using the correlation method with Pearson Product Moment. Based on the research results obtained that (1) there is no correlation between students’ satisfaction and probing question in Class 2 Science A. It can be seen from the acquisition of Pearson correlation and Sig 2-tailed means that the null hypothesis is accepted. (2) there is no correlation between students’ satisfaction and factual question in Class 2 Science A. It can be seen from the acquisition of Pearson correlation and Sig 2-tailed means that the null hypothesis is accepted. (3) there is no correlation between students’ satisfaction and divergent question in Class 2 Science A. It can be seen from the acquisition of Pearson correlation and Sig 2-tailed means that the null hypothesis is accepted. (4) there is no correlation between students’ satisfaction and higher order question in Class 2 Science A. It can be seen from the acquisition of Pearson correlation and Sig 2-tailed means that the null hypothesis is accepted.
