Abstract

This study aimed to describeteachers’ method in assessing learning outcomes and the process of English teachers’ assessment practice in SMA N 2 Mori Atas during the pandemic time. This study used qualitative approach and this research design was a case study. The subjects were two English teachers. The instruments of data collected were observation, interviews, and documentations. The results obtained were as follows: (1) The teachers used Formative and Summative methods in assessing students. This was done by giving assignments in the form of essays, multiple choice, and projects. In addition to that, the teachers also assessed students based on their feedback in WhatsApp group. (2) The teachers assessed students’ learning achievement by administering daily assignments, mid-term exam assignments, final semester exam assignments, and assessing their activities in WA Group.
