Abstract

The aims of this study to determine 1) the significant correlation between students'visual learning style and students’ achievement in reading comprehension, 2) the significant correlation between students' auditory learning style and students’ achievement in reading comprehension, 3) the significant correlation between students’ kinesthetic learning style and students’ achievement in reading comprehension, and 4) the significant correlation between students’ learning styles and students’ achievement in reading comprehension in grade IX students at SMPN 2 Tojo. This research was conducted at SMPN 2 Tojo. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method and using correlation analysis.Based on the results that have been obtained that 1) there is no significant correlation between students' visual learning styles and students’ achievement in reading comprehension, 2) there is no significant correlation between students' auditory learning styles and students’ achievement in reading comprehension, 3) there is no significant correlation between students' kinesthetic learning styles and students’ achievement in reading comprehension, and 4) there is no significant correlation between students’ learning styles and students’ achievement in reading comprehension. The students at the basic level have no correlation in this study.
